9. Munchie (1992)

January 3, 2014

Looking like a reject for a Chuck E. Cheese mascot, Munchie is some kind of ancient magical creature that lives for adventure and causing trouble. Munchie is actually a sequel to Munchies, but that doesn't really matter. Neither of them are very good. Dom DeLuise provided the voice for Munchie, and as great as Dom DeLuise could occasionally be, he could also be equally annoying.
So we've got this kid who gets picked on and doesn't really have any friends and his mom's boyfriend is a real jerk. He finds a treasure chest, opens it up, releases Munchie and then stuff gets real. Munchie steals a pizza by making it fly for several blocks while the chef who made the pizza chases it through the street. Then Munchie causes all kinds of chaos at school that the kid gets in trouble for. Then... everything works out and Munchie and the kid's weird neighbor hyjack a plane and take off to explore. Directed by Jim Wynorski, the creative genius behind Chopping Mall and Deathstalker II, this wacky adventure is one to share with your whole family so they can hate you just a little bit more.
