1. New Years Evil (1980)

January 1, 2014

A trashy spectacle that has become a staple of our New Years festivities for the last several years, New Years Evil is a must-see slasher film. The film features a killer who calls in to a radio show to announce his kills and play recordings of his murders on New Years Eve every hour from the time the ball drops in New York until midnight on the west coast. Our killer wears some pretty hilarious and totally unnecessary disguises, and he doesn't seem to have planned things out very far in advance, but he is still entertaining. Despite all the plot holes and character flaws, there is a special place in my heart for New Years Evil.
