November 8, 2014A leak at a nuclear power plant sends a mysterious fog across an old country road which causes an entire school bus load of kids, including the driver, to disappear. The local Sheriff, his deputy, and a concerned parent go on a hunt for the missing children only to find out they're not really missing, they're out killing people. The kids start showing up all over the place and killing anyone they come in contact with by melting them from the inside with just a touch. Most of the townsfolk get liquefied by the kids, and it is up to the Sheriff to put a stop to their reign of terror. The film was a bit grainy and spotty in places, as Troma supposedly restored it from a damaged print, but apparently it looks a lot better than the old Vestron VHS release that was out there. I don't know a whole lot about that, but I do know that 'The Children' is a classic 80's horror movie that more people should see.
