Starring John Snow’s wildling girlfriend from Game
of Thrones (Rose Leslie as Bea) and Andy from ‘Cockneys Vs. Zombies’ (Harry
Treadaway as Paul) as a sickeningly infatuated newlywed couple on their
honeymoon, ‘Honeymoon’ was a decent movie that was also incredibly annoying at
times. I liked it, so don’t get me wrong, but they really tried to force the besotted
relationship between the two. I suppose they had to, so I’ll look past it. The
couple went to Bea’s childhood cabin on their honeymoon and were soon visited
by strange lights in the night shining through their windows. One night, Paul
found Bea standing in the middle of the woods, naked, freezing, unresponsive,
and with several bite-like welts on her inner thighs, and he brought her back
inside. After that she wasn’t the same, and she could hardly remember the
simple details of her life before that night. Paul tried his best to
investigate, and actually found another local couple suffering from the same
issues. As Bea’s situation steadily worsened and she began bleeding profusely through
her unmentionables even though it wasn’t that time of the month, Paul’s mental
status rapidly deteriorated as he found himself unable to help her. I’d
say it is worth the watch, if you can make it past the first half hour or so of
them showing you just how much in love they were.
