400. To All A Goodnight (1980)

November 4, 2014

I know, it is still too early to start watching Christmas movies, but with Kino Lorber's new blu-ray release of David Hess' directorial debut, 'To All A Goodnight', I decided to throw caution to the wind and get all festive. Set during Christmas vacation at a sorority house two years after the accidental death of a girl during a prank, a killer has come back to claim the lives of the girls responsible as well as anyone else who gets in the way. The girls invite some boys to stay with them while the house mother is away and they all start dropping like flies as the killer indiscriminately gets their revenge. It was an enjoyable film despite being a fairly run-of-the-mill slasher flick and I'm glad I finally got to see it. Recommended for slasher completists and 80's Christmas horror fans.
