December 13, 2014'Scrooged' is another holiday classic that we have to watch every year. Bill Murray plays an executive at a TV studio who only cares about himself and his ratings. Just like in the traditional Charles Dickens story, he is visited by three ghosts - Christmas past, present, and future - and they show him the errors of his ways. This version has a decidedly darker perspective, however, and tackles a few things that the original didn't. David Johansen plays the taxi-driving ghost of Christmas past, Carol Kane plays the spiteful fairy ghost of Christmas present, and the ghost of Christmas future scared me to death as a kid. This movie is fantastic, and I highly recommend it if you haven't already seen it. Especially for the fake trailers at the beginning. I really wish they would have made a real movie of 'The Night the Reindeer Died'.
