461. Griff The Invisible (2010)

December 8, 2014

Ryan Kwanten is in some pretty good movies in my opinion. 'Dead Silence', 'Red Hill', 'Not Suitable for Children', among others. 'Griff the Invisible' was another surprisingly good Kwanten film, about a guy named Griff (Kwanten) with delusions of being a superhero who meets his brother's girlfriend, an equally weird girl who thinks she can move through walls. The two develop an awkward friendship which eventually grows into something more romantic and involves the girl trying to help Griff achieve invisibility. They're both clearly emotionally unstable and are fortunate enough to have found each other so they can continue living in their fantasy world. I would recommend it as a strange romantic comedy with superhero undertones. I do love movies about superheros ('Super', 'Special', etc.) that are not based on comic books (at least I don't think this was based on any comics).
