After serving time in prison for performing an illegal
abortion, a young and talented doctor moves to a small coastal town to practice
medicine under his mentor. Unfortunately for him, his mentor passes away before
he arrives, and several people in town are incredibly racist and try to run him
out. He perseveres though, as his mentor would have had him do, and gets to the
bottom of a potentially widespread syphilis outbreak in the town caused by all
the young folks having rampant, unprotected sex on some rocks by the ocean. It
served not only as an entertaining movie, but also as an educational film about
the devastating nature of sexually transmitted diseases. I dug it.
